I wouldn't say that 70-85% usage is "low" necessarily. Normally you can only get 99-100% load from synthetic benchmark/stresstest programs, most games will fluctuate the load they put the GPU under depending on what's going on in-game. Do you have good fps performance? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. Low GPU usage on Battlefield 1 GTX 980TI (18)

i have all ultra DX 12 + TAA+ HBAO 1080P and like 60-80 Depends on map .... same fps with 125-133% Res Scale Because there is 99% GPU Usage .... is this normal to have about 75 FPS average on 1080P with GTX 980 TI ? Same FPS Has Gtx 1060 or GTx 980 no ?

If everything is on ultra settings and you are still getting 60-80fps, that sounds pretty good to me. Low GPU usage on Battlefield 1 GTX 980TI (43) I'm not familiar with the exact performance of the card, look up a review or benchmark if you want to see what other people are getting with it, but I think that it sounds like it is performing normally.

As i see problem was Dx 12 .... on Dx 11 i still ahve low usage 80% around but like 15 more FPS .... seems like 900 seres are bad in DX 12 ... i see noew visual differnece so i will stay with Dx 12 then ... amd cards are more optimized for Dx 12

sometimes i think DX12 is more about helping AMD gpu to better utilize their available resource. take fury X vs 980ti for example. 8.6Tflops vs 5.6Tflops. and yet why Fury X did not significantly faster than 980ti in most games? and that still not counting heavily OCed 980ti. and in most DX12 games we did not see any graphical advantage to DX12 because everything that can be done in DX12 can also be done in DX11 (feature wise). also with DX12 more optimizations are in developer hands. nvidia can help a bit and advise developer on how to optimize for their architecture but in the end most of the optimization is still in developer hands.

and i'm actually interested to know what Dice opinion on DX12 since they were among the one that insisting low level API on PC. low level API will definitely going to complicate things more. and with low level API we are supposed to tweak the game accordingly to specific architecture strength so Dice can't say that they cannot make improvement on nvidia hardware because the hardware did not work like AMD hardware.

as i know nvidia has software support for dx 12 .... amd has hardware .... sooo i guess what do you reccommend ? stay with dx 11 on bf1 or dx 12 ? Dx works worse for me but if there is some visual difference i will stay with it .... i cant see and difference in graphics with dx and dx 12 but maybe it's just me ...

for nvidia based card usually just stay with DX11 if the performance is better on DX11. about visual it is not limited to BF1 only it seems all DX12 games (that still offer DX11) did not show any graphical difference between DX11 and DX12. DXMD for example developer reminding people that DX12 version of their game did not have any gameplay or visual difference than their Dx11 version but DX12 might comes with more stability issues.

DX12 as it is really is quite complicated. even for AMD they did not have the hardware required to be fully compliant to all DX12 feature. this is including their latest polaris.

Thanks bro .. then i will stay with dx 11 ... Dx 12 does nothing with my cpu usage , but it should .... so if no visual difference then its useless for me
